Working Sundays, Clichés and Greek night…
As the end of my supposedly free weekend hits it’s last day, I’m afraid I’ll most likely have to lock myself away in the library. A certain piece of work that should have been done over Christmas is due in tomorrow. At least I won’t be alone- I don’t know anyone who has completed it.
However, this does mean I need to stop dreaming and actually engage my brain. This is harder than it looks! With it bring february already, and the hallmark holiday looming towards us, I may be the only to one to admit it, but I’m surely not the only one thinking of valetines. What with the constant advertising on telly for that sex and the city show playing Alicia Keys and Jay-zs New York song, and British Airways’ new year sale with £300 pound return flights, I find myself dreaming of the romantic lights in the big city. The one visit to new York that I was old enough to remember was with my family, but was enough to make me recognize some of the special charm that draws so many people to the big apple each year.
Returning to the real world, tonight should give some mich needed time off in the form of a Greek night. Basically this means some Greek food and Greek music amongst friends. However, the host was in Oslo yesterday and I have no idea if he is even back yet, let alone ready to host 40-odd people! We shall just have to wait and see!
Much love,
Jonny
